MESSAGE # 3  The Fueling Word "So"
> INTRO: Fuel is the substance which links together:
>
1) heat to coldness
> 2) light to darkness (God so created, so came, so loved)
> Jesus came in the darkness and coldness of the history
> of mankind
>
3) cleanliness to corruptness
> 4) little things in the Bible are found to be very big.
> (Mary, Joseph, Carpentry, Callvary, Bethlehem)
> 5) Here is a little spark of a word that turns out to be
> mighty fuel
> 6) Webster defines the word "so" as: expressfully,
> evidently, therefore, consequently, likewise, indeed,
> truely, factually, purposefully
>
>
I. THE SITUATION INVOLVED
>
>
A. No other circumstances but dark calvary
> must be viewed in four different ways:
>
1) man did a work (displayed his depravity by taking the
> perfect One and with "wicked hands" nailing Him to the
> tree
>
2) Satan did a work (he manifested his enmity against
> God by entering into Judas
>
3) Lord Jesus did a work (He died the just for the unjust
> that He might bring us to God
>
4) God did a work (He exhibited His holiness and satisfied
> His justice by pouring His wrath on the One who was made
> sin for us
> B. No other crown but the Cross
> C. No other character but Christ
> Issac Watts wrote: Was it for crimes that I had done
> He groaned upon the tree?
> Amazing Pity, Grace unknown
> And love beyond degree

>
II. THE SEPERATED INDICATED
> A. Seperated in a Social Way (Mt 26:56) his disciples fled
>
B. Seperated in a Special Way
> 1) from the majesty of the Godhead
> 2) from the mastery of the Godhead

> C. Seperated in a Spiritual Way
> 1) forsaken by the father
> so hoy is God that seraphim veil their faces
> that Abraham cried, "I am but dust and ashes"
> when Job came into His presence he said,
> "wherefore I abhor myself"
> In Isaiah's vision he exclaimed "woe is me for I
> am undone
> So holy is God that we are told, #he is of purer eyes
> that to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity"
>
2) finished by the father
> Father, forgive them (wordsof mercy)
> Today, shalt thou (words of redemption)
> woman, behold thy (words of compassion)
> My God, My God (words of despair)
> It is finished (words of completion)
